Question / Help MonsterXX capture card support

It is a PCI Express card, and the successor to the card AverMedia rebranded as the HD DVR/CaptureHD. While I cannot for absolute 100% certain confirm that this card works with OBS, I am 99% sure that it does.

If you want a good PCIe capture card that can capture 1080p60, give the Micomsoft SC-512N1-L a try, or the Micomsoft XCAPTURE-1. They are both great cards, though the XCAPTURE-1 requires an Intel or Renesas USB 3.0 port.

Thanks for your suggestion but let me ask you a few questions, i'm assuming that the micomsoft is pcie x1 with max bandwidth of 200mbps so, is there enough bandwidth to capture 1080p at 60 fps? Because i want to stream at 1080p@60fps and for example the AV Live Gamer HD can capture 1080p at 60 fps but only can output and stream at 30 fps.

The sknet monsterXX is pcie X4 with 700-800mbps of bandwidth
In case of the micomsoft can do 60 fps, is it fully supported by OBS?

Thank you

The Micomsoft fully supports 1080p60 capture and 1080p60 output, and it is compatible with OBS. It requires PCIe 2.0, which peaks at 500MB/s of bandwidth, which is enough for 1080p60. More discussion here: https://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/pos ... ssion.html

Streaming at 1080p60, however, is a bad idea and generally not recommended, since Flash is awful and kills even mid-range PCs when trying to decode 1080p60 video.

Thank you so much for the reply, i know it would be a bad idea, i've read it on other post but I will give a chance.

He's not kidding. 1080p60 streams are not currently feasible given bandwidth and Flash player limitations. If you want 1080p use 30 FPS, if you want 60 FPS use 720p.

For some reason I've never had good results streaming at frame rates other than 30 or 60 with a capture card, the output always stutters. :(

It may work fine for you, but that doesn't mean it works fine for everyone.

My main computer at home has a i7-3770k and a GTX 680, and it can watch 1080p60 streams fine. But my work computer has a Xeon W3565 and a Quatro FX 580, and 1080p60 streams completely crush it and make the browser crash. It even struggles with 1080p30 and 720p60.

So if you only want people with modern gaming PCs to watch your stream, then sure, stream at 1080p60. But if you want the everyday person to be able to watch your stream, then make the smart decision and don't stream at 1080p60.

Hey guys, yesterday arrived the SC-512N1-L and it works flawlessly, but it has too many options in OBS configure tab that I don't know if it's better to change or not. So please if anyone has this card I will appreciate any kind of help regarding to this panel
except the video/audio input, obviously I know the reason of this option :D

Thanks and sorry for my english.

You can pretty much leave all those settings at default, honestly. The only thing I can really see myself needing to change other than the Audio/Video input would be the Deinterlace method, if I don't want to use OBS's deinterlacing. But for progressive-scan content, leave it at Weave.

I'm curious as to what exactly the Auto Resolution Scaling option does, which could be neat I suppose.
