Hey, all I'm running a small set up with obs, I have my voice coming in through a mic, which is great, and I'm trying to use programs on the desktop to provide background music (like vlc). I'm monitoring the mix through my headphones and I can hear my voice and those levels are adjusted by the obs mixer just fine. However, if I play a track on my desktop (using desktop audio) the monitoring cannot distinguish the difference between the desktop source (going straight to the speakers and the desktop as played through obs. this means that I find it difficult to mix the audio levels by sound because I cannot clearly tell if what I'm hearing through my headphones is the same as what's being broadcast by the stream. I can, of course, see the levels in the mixer but again this does not accurately give me an idea of the output mix because in my headphones the level of the desktop volume overrides the output of the 'desktop audio' in the mix.
I'm not sure if the solution lies in adjusting the settings in windows or obs, or whether there is simply a workaround where you set the desktop audio to max in obs and then adjust the volume on the output program? Regardless any help would be greatly appreciated.
