Question / Help Monitor Capture v Multi-Region Capture

Hi all,

I just started getting into more advanced streaming toys like chat capture and follower notification. The thing is, I now have two new monitor region captures where before I shunned monitor cap for fear of performance issues. My questions: does running two comparably small (the size of a banner and a pop-up ad) monitor region capture sources use less resources than one full monitor capture? Or does any size region capture use the same resources, regardless? If that is the case, am I using double the resources to capture two different regions?

I tend to have multiple Chrome windows open at once, and I've had problems in the past with OBS getting confused and not refreshing or capturing the right window. But this was many updates ago, and I've learned a lot about OBS since (like benefits of Global Sources). So, I made some window region capture sources to try it out again.

However, I'm still curious about the questions above, and I suppose now you could even replace 'monitor capture' with 'window capture': "does running two comparably small (the size of a banner and a pop-up ad) monitor region capture sources use less resources than one full monitor capture? Or does any size region capture use the same resources, regardless? If that is the case, am I using double the resources to capture two different regions?"
