Question / Help Monitor capture going to black after returning from full screen gaming!

I can't run any game in full screen, it causes a permanent monitor capture black screen, so I can't show my windows desktop anymore; the only way to revert is closing OBS e reopening it. How can I fix it? I'm a advanced user and this is the only thing I can't find a workaround.

Having the exact same issue, been banging my head against a wall all day trying to fix it. Would love to find a way to fix!

Yeah, and is so annoying for example: I'm opening some games in windowed mode, like: The Evil Within, Spintires MudRunner: The Valley, etc; and the monitor capture's fading to black in the exact moment the game has opened. I have to close OBS and reopen it, and it's awful too, because I have auto streams alerts that's flooding my social pages with LIVE ON!

I am trying to play an older game that doesn't have a windowed mode option and it is impossible to stream it because of this issue. But the weird thing is it works fine for other people playing the game?? I have tried reinstalling OBS, reinstalling my graphics card drivers, nothing works. I guess I will not be using OBS to stream anymore if this is the case :(

Still hoping some help can be given with this issue though, good luck!

hmm, those games i have them on console (ps4 & xb1), so i don't have them to test them out on pc.

Sometimes, running OBS studio in administrator mode, fixes problem like this. some games might have been given administrator priveledges when they got installed. Or they work better with OBS studio in administrator mode.

I'm running with administrator privileges, both OBS and games, and also tried changing compatibility mode and running without administrator privileges. But it does not work.
