Bug Report Monitor capture does not work properly.

Well, i gave OBS Multiplatform a shot. Same issue like classic.
Monitor capture (need it for some games, partially DOOM with Vulkan) gives me 1-2FPS.
Everything is updated, everything is clean and clear.
OBS 0.16.2 x64
Win10 Build 14936
Latest GeForce Expirience (Version 3.0.6.48) and drivers: 372.90
Doom runs like a dream with 110-140FPS with DSR 4K and ultra settings, but i cant use game capture (since somebody forgot to add DX12 and Vulkan capture) and monitor capture gives me jack shit instead of a smooth capture.

Hardware:
GTX 970 OC @1529Mhz
i7 5820k @ 4,5Ghz core, 4,1 cache
16GB DDR4 2666 CL14
Logitech C920, Terrasoniq Phase X64 audio interface and a crapload of other gear that does not affect OBS at all.
Everything is stable besides that. So what is going on? I blame OBS since this is the only thing that is not working now.

Here is the log:
https://gist.github.com/e619c52cc7a4f50622e7f30e80b2295e

What i managed to get out of that crap so far:
The recorded file with OBS multiplatform is clear. The preview while recording that file was on 1-2FPS.
With OBS classic i get the same choppy 1-2FPS preview. I eliminated everything in the background that could somehow hooking a game or GPU data besides the game and a fresh install of the latest OBS multiplatform version.

And i found the issue. The reason for the laggy preview is GeForce Expirience with the said version. If it is open somewhere in the background, the preview looks like a slideshow. Once i close it (it still runs in the background, just like many other nvidia things), my preview goes back to smooth 60FPS.
Can you confirm that?

I have same problem after switching to windows 10 its been a nightmare trying to stream on twitch. Some games work in game capture some only work in game monitor some lag in monitor where they do not lag in game capture. I am thinking of just quitting all together.

Cause i am not going back to windows 7 to much of a hassle just to stream i mean i love streaming but OBS has let me down big time i tried compatibility mode 32 and 64 bit in both OBS Classic and Studio all my setting are fine i have used them in the past for over 4 years.

My cpu is I7 4790K and my GPU is a gtx 980 4gb vram dx12 card with 32gb of DDR system ram it has nothing to do with my hardware. That i can promise you i have asked for help in these forums in the past and never got any real help posting logs and playing games its the software its just not compatible with windows 10. I hate to say it but i been thinking of trying some other streaming software which sucks cause i love OBS but Windows 10 just does not work correctly with it.

Example game tested Mafia 3 works fine in game capture but in monitor capture lags like hell like a slideshow in preview of obs but runs fine on PC in game while i am streaming or previewing. I tried many other games its hit or miss switch this play with that ect.

You might ask why then do i complain if it works in game capture i will tell you why i have G-Sync and that does not work in game capture at least for my audience it will show black lines and i am not going to turn on vsync in game as it would turn g-sync off on my screen. Secondly when you use sweetfx on any game it needs to be monitor captured not game captured to show audience.

I have come to the conclusion of either finding a new application or to give up on streaming i wish you the best of luck with your problem i am just expressing my experience with you as well as i have same problem it is very frustrating and i really love obs but it is a total mess right now.

The problems you listed are not really obs-specific problems. G-sync is problematic for every program that hooks into games like obs does (not sure if it causes problems with window/monitor). Same goes for sweetfx.

@Cryonic why aren't you just using OpenGL/DX11 for those Vulkan/DX12 games until OBS Studio gets DX12/Vulkan support. DX12 is already gonna be in 0.17.

Not sure what ya mean G-Sync is not a software its a microchip that talks to the GPU it does not have any DLL hooks so i am a bit confused at that statement. I also have never had any problems at all with G-Sync or Sweetfx in the last 3 years running on WIndows 7 x64 using the classic OBS.

Also i will note i did try other streaming software and they all are garbage compared to OBS so now i am really stuck trying to find real answers to my problems ill start a thread on this later after i feel i have collected a large amount of data and list everything i have done to avoid basic fix it things and waste time.
