SO i press Stop recording it goes to stooping recording and stits there for 5 minutes so i deciede if i will turn it of it should finish. WRONG!
After i try to launch it and it says that it is still runing so i shut it down in process and mkv file is nowhere to be found.
WHy should i record in mkv insted of mp4 if it is as shity as all of em!
Starting to think that i should start using shadowplay+ webcam recrodings and mike all in separate.
OBS just doesnt work the way it was intended to!
SO let me know if there is way to prevent this from happening and it would be cool to get the file that i lotst 1.20 hour for.
The whole MKV advantage just disapered and my asurenes in file type died!

WHy should i do that?
I want load to go on GPU, cuz 1080 is not using even half of its potention on the game so wy would i give trouble to cpu with x264.
And you didnt answer any of my questions. Just go and do......

What does this have to do with what I told you to do?

As for why you should save to MKV, it's actually your settings that are causing the problem, not the MKV container format.

I USE NVENC and it uses GPU.
WHEN regular 264 uses cpu.
YOu could atlest tell me why you are recomending this, what caused it and why it make sense change it.
I am quite new to this, i dont follow comands, only raise knowledge and make decisions. So eather explain why you are telling me to do that or leave it to those who can.

And where exactly am I telling you to change your encoder to x264?

I'm telling you to change the level from 4.2 to auto in your encoder settings, NOT to change which encoder you're using.

I havent seen a single preset with it on auto. one of 2 options always is recomended... And i have done heavy research for best quality gameplay capture.

And where exactly are you getting your presets from?

Set it so that the encoder chooses which level to use automatically so that you can be sure you're not getting it wrong for your settings.

HAHA. Sorry m8 misunderstanding
why it is better to have auto? when i post proces i always use 4.2 sooo it kinda makes sense why i put it like that

Why is it better to use level of auto? Because if you change another setting, if a different level is required, it is selected automatically, rather than have the encoding process outright (and sometimes silently) fail on you.

Thanks for another tip. CHanged both of em. If anything more comes to mind let me know.
There is no way to set for obs to save several files instead of one.
BY time limit or weight limit. cant remember exactly wich but i seen this option in other app.
