Question / Help MJPEG Decoder (Webcam)

I've been using ffdshow as one of the most popular guides suggests, but I updated my ffdshow today and saw I had LAV Video as an option, would it be better to use that versus ffdshow?

Some PC specs:
Microsoft Studio HD Cam
i3 2330
Ati 6870 graphics card

I'd just want to know what the difference is on using one or the other.

Try it I suppose. I'm not the webcam expert, that would probably be muf, but it seems like a fairly trivial question where you can just try it out and see what happens I suppose.
