Question / Help Mixer has disappeared

For some reason, the mixer bars and the content that normally appears within the mixer box on OBS is not showing up. The small window that says "mixer" on the title bar is still there, but the actual bars do not show up. I have tried restarting the application and reinstalling it as well as attempting to go to "advanced audio properties" but nothing shows up for that either. I'm stuck, help!

If the mixer subwindow is still present, but no bars, there are no audio devices detected by OBS, or OBS wasn't able to initialize previously existing devices. This is a Windows issue. Go to Settings->Audio and verify/re-set your devices. Sometimes, a machine reboot helps.

I played around with the audio settings for windows but nothing seems to have changed. Any other suggestions?

I got the sama problem and solved it in the following way:
- Click the Source name (Audio Input capture) to make it active.
- Right click to see the options.
- Click on the Hide in Mixer (this is for some reason chosen though it is not marked)
- And then click again on the Hide in Mixer (this removes the hiding)

And voilà!

This has suddenly started happening today. Every time we start OBS, there is nothing in the Audio mixer sub-window. As mentioned above, right-click the main audio source and "hide" it and then right click and "unhide" it; it now appears and stays for that session; close down and restart OBS and it's gone again! This never happened before today. The source hardware hasn't changed in any way. What's up?
