So I have Missing audio on 2 videos, videos before that and after that have sound and I have not changed anything. Is there a way to get the audio working? And What can cause this? all videos before these 2 have audio and videos after that have audio. I have done absolutely nothing to settings or anything. File format is MKV on all my recordings

hey there,
If audio's missing from just two videos just do these tricks it might help you:
  • Check files for corruption.
  • Verify audio settings.
  • Update codecs and try different players.
  • Ensure the right audio track is selected.
  • Convert files if needed.
How do I check the files for corruption? Tried diffrent players, I mean I shouldnt have to because as I said all other MKV files are with working audio. Right audio track is selected. I have updated codecs, and if the problem was there shouldnt it also affect other mkv files. Convert to what format you would think will the trick?

If you changed nothing (at will) you should check if any of the audio devices mentioned in the obs Settings->Audio section are set to "Default". That is strongly encouraged to be avoided. Set your needed audio to the dedicated audio device names instead.

If things are set to "default" OBS relies on the computers audio setttings, whatever will be "default" by its default. And that may change just by boot-up sequence, by the determination sequence in time of devices and usb devices, switching a device to other usb port, and so on.

Don't trust on "default" in all that cases. Set it to specific device names. You will see if OBS starts and something is missing or not delivering audio.

Additionally check in the Advanced Audio Properties (in the obs audio mixer) that the right audio sources are routed into the right audio tracks. Check in the Settings->Output section that the wished tracks are marked for recording and/or streaming, whatever you need.
