Question / Help Minimize while recording

Hi everyone
Is there an option to make OBS hide/minimize when I start recording the screen?
I don't want to show OBS screen in the final video. I can edit the video file later and cut out the first seconds,
but it would be better if I didn't had to do that.

Not exactly. You can set it to start recording on launch, and to hide itself (minimize to "system tray") on launch.

Hi, I hope I've not misunderstood your question.

I also thought that I could not record while the obs window was minimised.

But then I discovered that the issue was relating to the output speed. This video on youtube (I had no part in it) helped solve my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x84HUp9XdiM. I'm sure there are others. It's just one that I found on this issue.
