Question / Help Minecraft lags ONLY when obs is running

I am at a complete loss. I can easily run minecraft with multiple things in the background and have absolutely no problems, but the second I open obs (even if it's the only other thing open) the game becomes unplayable in anything but a tiny window. Hell, chrome uses ~373 MB and I have no problem running it in the background, but obs only uses ~81 MB and just having that running screws up my game. I've also messed around with settings in game, but it does next to nothing for the lag.
I turned off preview, fps is set to 30, resolution is at 1280x720, and I'm using the razer cortex game booster. Changing in game settings does absolutely nothing. I am so desperate. Please let me know if there's any other info you need, any advice is greatly appreciated.

You're running Minecraft on a very old iGPU and getting 25-30 fps. Yes, OBS is going to impact you heavily, as it needs that same iGPU to perform everything it needs to do for building the scene and capturing your game.

You need a dedicated graphics card.
