Question / Help Minecraft Lag?

So, i just downloaded OBS and was going to try local recording minecraft, but when i start recording, even with low quality, my ingame frames drop down to 5-7 fps , but when recording with fraps at 1080p it stays at 30-40 fps, do you guys know what is causing it, and how to fix it?

Start by dumping all of those custom params as you clearly have no idea what they do. Test again once they're gone and then post a new log if things still aren't working properly. Are you only trying to record locally, or do you plan to stream?

So, i did what you told me, and recorded with lower resolution, fps went up, but I discovered the problem was CPU lag, not GPU lag.

For some reason your GPU is completely choking, as per these lines:

I'm honestly not really sure why...make sure your GPU drivers are up to date, enable Aero because you are using Window Capture, and maybe enable Vsync or otherwise cap your in game framerate so that OBS and your game aren't competing for GPU time.

Oh, wait, does your GPU really only have 256MB of VRAM? That may be a factor, here.
