Question / Help Minecraft Crash on OBS Game Capture

Hello,

I know that this forum has heard a lot about this issue and the same solution but I cannot find the solution for me. Everytime I open up OBS Game Capture and go for javaw.exe (Minecraft file), it (minecraft) ends up crashing. OBS log is here. The new Minecraft launcher doesn't allow me to view the crash report. If any other items are needed then do reply with needed item. Also, getting a new pc is not an option for me sadly.

Are you minimizing Minecraft after setting up the game capture?

The capture says it is succeeding, but then saying that the window being captured no longer exists.

No, I am leaving Minecraft in the background as I am setting up the Game Capture, as in I can see it in the background with obs in front of it.

Then in that case, the problem is that when Minecraft crashes, it takes the window capture with it, which is to be expected.

You may need to use display capture as a workaround, or downgrade to an either version of OBS if you did not experience this problem earlier.

Hey @Narcogen,

I've solved the problem by using OBS Display Capture on a second screen (this also reduces lag but not necessary)with Minecraft on my main screen. For anyone who is having this problem too, there you go. If you don't have a second monitor, use an app for your phone.
