Question / Help MIDI input devices to do switching

I decided to leave OBS Software and give OBS Studio a try. So far it seems very capable and robust, though the video cropping of a Display Capture is needlessly complicated... you can no longer tell it to "take this X/Y and height/width and display that" as you could in the old version.

Anyhow, I currently use the Akai Midimix in VoiceMeeter to handle all my audio and it works great. It basically acts like a music device to send inputs to the mixer buttons and sliders:

I'd like to use some of the extra buttons on the device to accomplish scene switching. I looked around and I can't find any functionality for this, so I wanted to suggest it for an upcoming version.

You can right click -> transform -> edit transform to enter values manually for cropping, or just hold alt+drag the red bounding box to crop.

This is something being actively looked at, as it's been requested quite often, but no ETA.

Thanks. Well, that's the thing... instead of X/Y and height/width, it wants me to enter left/right/top/bottom, which is not really intuitive if I'm trying to fit a 1280x720 window. The old OBS had Subregion Position X/Y and Size height/width, which made more sense.

OK, no problem. I noticed the keyboard shortcuts work systemwide, which is great.

Ah, yes subregion selection is planned, but no ETA on when it will be ready. Commonly requested, so hopefully soon!
