Question / Help Microstutter since upgraded Internet

Hi,
I have a problem with streaming with OBS. I used to have 1MBit up and was able to stream more or less good, of course the 360p stream wasn't looking that nice but it worked. Now since I got the upgrade to 5MBit up I wanted to stream in 720p @30fps. The problem is that I encouter microstuttering ingame whilst streaming. I tested it with CS:GO and Black Ops 2 and I have the same issues in both games. Since I enabled Aero and set the process proirity to "normal" instead of "high" I was able to improve it a little bit but the problem still remains and makes it unbearable to stream for longer than 2 minutes.
My specs:
i5-2500K @4,2GHz
MSi GTX 670 PE OC
16GB DDR3-1600 RAM (high quality but currently can't recall the brand)
150mbit(down)/5mbit(up)

Thanks in advance for any help really, as I've been trying stuff day in and out and can't seem to find a solution :(
 
You should lower the process priority back to normal. Raising it will make all other programs besides OBS perform worse.

You might also want to downscale to 540p if you still feel like OBS is affecting your performance too much.
 
The stuttering is most likely being caused by the increase in bitrate. on a i5 as old as yours, running a game alongside x264 encoding is going to have a noticable effect on your game. I would recommend switching from x264 to quicksync since your CPU is capable of it.
 
Thanks. I already lowered the priority to normal and it did indeed help quite a bit. Is going down to 540p really my only option? I don't really want to do that :/

Thanks, but I sadly can't choose quick sync, only x264 and NVENC. I guessed it's my i5 but I always thought that it had the capability as it's still running pretty smooth, especially overclocked.
 
I just lowered it to each 600p and 514p and that didn't change a thing. I also downscaled the audio to 96kbits and that had no effect either :/
 
Could be a problem as I have a shitty MoBo. Also that seems to be a solution I'd only take if that's the only option left as it is indeed some work to set everything up. But thanks a lot! I will see if I can get it to work without that first though.
