Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Doesn't Recognize OBS Virtualcam

I am able to stream OBS output through an OBS virtualcam device as the webcam on my local Windows 10 PC where OBS VirtualCam is recognized as a webcam device. I would like to be able to use it as a remote webcam for use when connecting to a different PC (also Windows 10) for videocons in Teams or similar software. I have tried this with the webcam alone, and that works. But I cannot get Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection application to recognize OBS virtualcam as a webcam device (in the local resources tab). When I look from the remote PC, it sees the webcam and other devices that are connected on the local PC, but it does not see the OBS virtualcam. Does anyone know how to make OBS virtualcam accessible and visible to the Remote Desktop Connection app?

Bump, I need this too. In the current state of the world working from home is essential. I need to RDP to a computer on my local LAN and use the video there (where I am using Teams). I can use my existing camera via RDP which shows up as USB video, but if I open up OBS first and start the virtual cam, after connecting via RDP I have no cameras at all (my original USB Video is there, but it is black). For those interested to look into this you do have to enable within RDP under the Local Resources tab, 'More' under Local devices and resources, Video capture devices in order for the cam to be available in the remote session.

As far as I know, device redirection in rdp is based on USB devices. If it's USB, it can be redirected. If it's an audio device, it can also be redirected. But since the virtual OBS webcam is no USB device, it isn't redirected by rdp.

Not familiar with the technical side of things, but I can see other services with virtual devices that show up in this list. Examples that I have tested that worked:
- Snap Camera
- Droid Camera Application (basically you use your phone as the camera)

My point being, there should be a way for OBS VirtualCam Device to show up in that list as well since other virtual cameras do show up there

soemthing that won't work for everyone but worked in my case as a workaround was to install OBS Studio on the remote PC. So RDP sent the usual webcam signal over RDP and then I did the OBS modifications on the remote computer. Not viable for everyone, but might help some.

Would also be grateful if this works, and my colleagues that now have to watch boring presentations... ;-)
Since the first post is from 2020 and there was no response from anyone who is skilled enough to make it happen, I assume this is not on any list of requested features. Is there someone who can tell me how to add this feature to the list?
