Question / Help Microsoft Lifecam HD3000 no video

Hi,

I am new to this as you can probably tell.

When creating a scene my webcam just shows as a black screen.

I have uninstalled the Lifecam software, no change, tried switching the USB ports. No effect.

If I go to FB live and pick the camera, it shows the video feed, when I change to connect, and put in the stream settings to OBS, it connects properly, but the feed only shows the background picture, the video feed does not come through.

I found a thread that had similar issues for the Microsoft Lifecam HD3000 and have tried to remedy but no luck.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your cam is FIRST in the source list.
Also, make sure your settings are correct for that cam in the webcam properties option.

I only have the one cam.

But it's possible that the web cam settings may override what I'd want as a default for the cam?

Cam is 1st on source list.

Changed the settings to that of default in Lifecam software.

Still nothing as yet. I'll tweak more.

I have the same cam and use it occasionally with OBS...
Make sure the lifecam software is NOT running when you use the cam in OBS.
