Question / Help Microphones do not work (at all)

I have 2 microphones on my PC, one in my webcam (Logitech C310) and my main mic, the Yeti. Both work fine in apps like skype, discord, and in game (mass effect 3). I have never once been able to record my voice in OBS.

The bar on the main screen for mic is always grey and never works. I have set the microphone and made sure push to talk is off (or on, still nothing) and nothing ever makes it move. Others can hear me just fine in things like discord.

Just a thought, but your log file shows your Yeti microphone as both your Desktop Input and Microphone input. Maybe change your Desktop input and see if that does anything? I'm no expert, but I figure there's a chance that's causing an interference?

I have figured it out. So it turns out that the red microphone bar/speaker bar (above the Settings and Start streaming button) are sliders. This is not obvious in any way since they are directly above the live preview value, which I thought this was describing. This is not intuitive at all.
