Question / Help Microphone stops working 1-5 second(s) after previewing stream or going live

I'm having an issue with my current configuration:

I'm running a Scarlett Solo USB Audio Interface with an AT2050 Mirophone

When I preview the stream or go live, the microphone indicator looks like it's picking up sound from the microphone, but then just stops within a few seconds.

Not sure what is going on, because this same set up was working fine on another desktop that I have here in my house.

I tried the smallest resolution - did not do anything. I've been seeing a lot of issues with microphones being related to resolutions and video settings...how the hell does that work out?
 
USB controller bandwidth.
If a microphone and webcam are on the same controller, they have to share bandwidth. Setting the webcam to a lower resolution frees up a lot of bandwidth for the microphone's interface.
