Question / Help Microphone not working/not being recogniced

I have been using OBS for a little while now, and everything is working correctly except the mic.
The mic functions correctly on Skype and other programs.
The push-to-talk button is unchecked.
I have also tried to boost the mic, but it does not help- it displays no mic sound at all.

Sometimes the mic meter goes up for a split second when i first start the stream, but nothing after that.
The headset that I'm using is a Logitech G230.
The mic is being displayed as Realtek High Definition Audio(the sound card).

Are there any fixes for this?

I just had this problem and I found a fix after messing around. For whatever reason I had an application (unsure which) taking priority of my mic which prevented OBS from using it. Just like you my mic worked in all other applications.

Try to go to Control Panel > Sounds > Recording tab > right click mic and go to properties > advanced tab > uncheck Allow applications to take elusive control of this device. Restart OBS and see if it works.
