I'm having an issue with my microphones in OBS on a new laptop we got for our streaming setup.(HP Victus with a USB mic -Blue yeti and HyperX) The issue we're having is the microphone sounds like there is a noise reduction on the microphone (Doesn't pick up everything going on, won't pickup the music coming through the speakers) Just sounds like there's a lot of noise reduction.
Every once in a while/couple weeks the sound will just fix itself? I can tell because the mics will pick up the ambient sound and I can see the levels going up on OBS when no one is talking (basically picking up our AC).
Here's some of the troubleshooting I've already gone through:
-Updating drivers/windows (everything is up to date)
-Switching cables/USB extensions (we have plugged directly into computer and our USB hub)
-switching microphones (Happens on both the Blue Yeti and HyperX mics we have)
-Switching streaming software (The mics work on other apps like restroom.io, I would much prefer to do our stream through OBS)
-Going through sound settings in OBS and the laptop
-looking through filters and making sure there's no noise reduction (only filter on now is some extra gain because it's so quiet)
-using the mics software (Ghub for yeti) to change mic settings
There has to be a setting I'm missing somewhere in OBS as these mics work on our old laptop in OBS as well as other software on the new laptop. Unfortunately I wasn't the one who set up the first laptop and inherited it when I came into this job, so unsure if they did anything to the sound/mic settings.
OBS logs attached - any help is appreciated as I'm having to use Restream's browser to stream to get decent sound.
