Hello I'm having some trouble getting my microphone to sound right on stream and I'm not really sure what's causing it.
It sounds as if I'm standing far away and also the sound of my voice doesn't sound equal in both sides of my headset (i hope that makes sense.) Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this?

I am using the Microphone Noise Gate option because I do have a table top mic and my ceiling fan will absolutely destroy everyone's ears.

My audio options seem correct but I'll write them down anyways:

audio device - speakers(realtek high definition audio)
microphone - Microphone(3-samson meteor mic)
2 boxes underneath are NOT checked
push to talk - off
no mute hotkeys
desktop and microphone boost are set to 1
mic sync offset is set to 0

Please let me know if I need to post anything else, would really like to get this fixed.

**Side note, my microphone seems to work just fine when Recording to my computer with the same options.

*** Thought it might help if I put a link to a VOD with the problems im talking about.

Thanks to anyone who helps!

Hm, not entirely sure. I know that there's an issue with the encoder right now -- the audio encoder makes it sound somewhat sub-par currently. Are you the one who sounds like he's coming in on the left? It sounds sort of to the left, not sure why it would be that way if it's a mono mic though. It's difficult to tell who is you in that video

Yeah i'm the one that sounds like they're to the left and cutting out but I think the cutting out was just my settings which I've adjusted. But yeah I'm not sure why it sounds the way it does. I was wondering if checking the "Force Microphone/Auxiliary to Mono" would help, any idea? My microphone is a condenser mic. and it is actually to the right of me but I find it odd that it only sounds this way in my stream.

Thanks for any help and the response!

Well just making it louder, and making sure that you're close to the mic would at this point be the best option. If you need the mic to be louder, you can use 'mic audio boost' in audio settings. It's not the best solution for the time being, but it's a start. The 'force to mono' option is up to you, may help make it sound more centered or something. Not sure why it sounds like it's coming to the left, very unusual.

Because its a large diaphragm condenser mic and its mono. Yeah it is connected via USB, but has still a mono signal.

One of my friends have the same problem - he can turn the gain up (and it will pick up any noise, his PC, traffic outside etc) or he can move the mic closer to his face. 10-15cm is a good distance for voice recording and commentary, 20cm+ is nice while streaming for a long time but this will be quiet (or loud with a lot of gain + anything that you can hear will be recorded too).
