Question / Help Microphone issues :(

My microphone buzzes in OBS but not any other recording software nor can my friends hear a buzzing in Skype/Razer Comms.
The noise gate can't be set over the sound BECAUSE IT TAKES UP THE WHOLE THING....anyways I've tried to make sure my computer was grounded by sticking the plug in the socket rather then the 6 way i normally have it in.
I've been trying to figure this out for a day now and it's making me angry. :/

It's a USB microphone

I've updated my sound card drivers

I tried plugging it in to different USB ports and different types USB 2.0 and USB 3.0

Obs worked fine with my old microphone witch was a (don't know the name but a normal microphone jack male 3.0mm to female 3.0mm jack)

The sound I hear that takes up the whole sound gate isn't really loud enough to take up the whole sound gate

Oh also even when i have my microphone muted it still buzzes Q.Q

Muted in OBS? Because if it happens when muted in OBS then it's not the mic.

No, The microphone has a switch to mute it

Honestly I've ruled out most of it on my side (because the mic works fine in everything else) and downloaded and installed it again i'm just wondering if there's a fix

Okay then yea, it's probably picking up the background static from the connection, OBS does indeed have an issue with that at the moment, it's causing the background noise to be louder for some reason in some cases and we haven't determined the cause yet. Our rewrite doesn't have the issue at all, while the original version does have the issue.. It's very annoying because it's difficult to really dig through soon-to-be-deprecated code for it. I suspect either the resampler or AAC encoder causing it to be honest, but those aren't things we can easily change in the original version.

You might have to hold out until we release the rewrite for that. Try changing the sample rate for the mic to see if it helps at all (windows sound control panel)
