I've been trying to figure out this problem for a while now and no thread I've seen so far has helped at all. Basically, I use OBS strictly to record audio but whenever sound is picked up on the desktop channel, it gets recorded through my mic as well. When I'm in voice calls, people can't hear it and when I manually mute my mic, OBS still records the desktop audio through the mic despite it being shut off. I also tried to listen to audio through one headset and use my other for the microphone but the problem still persists, even when I shut off the volume through the headset I use for audio so I know the mic isn't simply picking up audio from the speakers. Another problem is that if I delete the desktop channel from the audio mixer, it will still send desktop audio through the mic.
Based on everything I've tested (including using other audio recorders, reinstalling OBS, and messing around with my computer settings) I can't figure out if it's a software or a hardware issue. The only thing I have to go off of is that it only started happening after I finally stopped skipping an update and that it might have something to do with Discord.
