Question / Help Microphone Hissing & Buzzing only in OBS?

Hi,

When I preview stream or stream via OBS my microphone is showing something being picked up, but everywhere else my microphone shows nothing and is not an issue. My microphone of my Headset works fine in Skype, Windows in general and any Audio Recording Software?

Here is a screenshot of OBS, I am not talking in to the microphone or anything but it shows pick-up on the Microphone which then results in a noise on my stream which irritates my viewers?

Any help?

Sometimes it's usually the combination of not just the audio, but the video, and the other devices that can cause the mic weirdness to happen - this actually isn't caused by OBS because OBS doesn't modify the sound data - it just reads from the mic.

Sometimes on certain motherboards when all these things are active at once these sort of things can happen, especially when many devices on the system are active at once. If your mic/headset is USB, try another USB port if possible (or if you have USB 3.0 try plugging it in there or vise versa)

I am going to unplug everything from my PC today and then just plug in my Headset and webcam to see what results I get. I will let you know. Something tells me though this isn't the issue as ALL my headset work with no issues on everything else than OBS. I will try and let you know.
