Microphone
Hello OBS Studio.
I have the Focusrite Pro 14 and I use input 3/4 for my mic because I have the mic on the mixer I use input 3/4 line in.
How can I tell OBS Studio which input to use for microphone.
By default only input 1/2 works but I don't have anything connected there.

Go into the general settings->audio tab. There you have a listbox where you can choose between all wasapi (windows) sound sources that deliver in stereo pairs. If the windows sound driver of the focusrite delivers four channels in two stereo pairs you'll find there.

If not, try the obs-asio plugin. The focusrite should deliver with professional asio drivers then.

So obs-studio and obs-asio I have now installed and it does not show up.
I have seen in youtube that ASIO after installing then is at the top of the menu.
But that is not with me at the top of the menu in it.
I guess it does not work.
I have Win7 and not Win10.
I may need a specific compatible version but which one is it for Win7.
Obs-Studio + asio-plugin last version for Win7.

I still use Win7 for most of my tasks, too. I have other interfaces, but they should work at all.
What driver do you have installed with/for your focusrite?

And:

Is it the Saffire Pro 14?
Had a look into the docs. No explicit declaration of drivers than as a ride-along with the mixer control software. But there should be usually ASIO stuff!

Otherwise: Ch 1&2 are combo-sockets with TRS and clip/ol-LEDs (for line-level, too?) Did you tried them, if not needed for other inputs?

The 1&2 Linein front I can also use that also works and I always have to plug the cable from the back to the front and that sucks in the long run.
But I use the rear 3&4 lines because they sound better and are more noise free. I also have ASIO for All installed although the ASIO from Focusrite is perfectly adequate.
As I said when I install OBS ASIO it does not show up in the menu in OBS. It is definitely only certain version of OBS and OBS-Asio that go together.
I have found the 2018 version (OBS-Studio & OBS-Asio 2018) but even there it doesn't work (it just doesn't show up in the menu so you could set the linein).

I've OBS 26.1.1 here under win7/64.

After installing obs-asio it should be found in any scene by adding a new source (sorry, the screenshot is an german obs, "Hinzufügen" just means "add"):
But the entry for the asio capture is named in english:

Then you would insert your asio focusrite channels 3&4 in one scene, then copy that source and insert a copy-by-reference to evry other scene you need that audio in.

Hope that helps.

Your picture has now helped me!
I have not looked in there!
It works now!
ASIO is exactly there as described in your picture.
I can now set 3&4 and OBS records microphone! Yeah!
Thank you!
