Hello,
I need really help.
I using right now Windows 8.1 on both systems. all up to date.
since I started streaming i fixed a lot of problems. And increase the quality of my stream from year to year. After i switch finally to a second Streaming PC to get the best performance and quality. I getting problems with the screen capture. My webcam works fine and doesnt have any lags / stucks, but the capturecard has every few seconds those micro lags / stucks. Everything else works fine. no connection problems. no hardware problems at all. I checked the capturecard with the gaming PC. same problem. Doesnt matter if i capture the PC or any consol like PS3 or WiiU. Tested at both systems. change the fps in different ways, changed the resolution in different ways. searching for answers in th www but doesnt find anything. call the support of elgato and avermedia, no changes.

That logfile you sent was from your gaming PC, not your streaming PC.

If you want to do 1080@60 med 3500 streaming (strongly discouraged) then you need to make your gaming PC your streaming PC so you are dedicating your stronger encoding machine.

Even at that, here is the max settings I would recommend:

1 make your 4790K your dedicated streamng PC, Put the 680GTX in this machine. put the cap card in this machine.
2. your streaming PC should be the 2600K and have the Titan Black in it.
3. stream at 720@60 medium preset (maybe slow could work but that depends on your OC.)
4. refrain from using 1080@60 whatsoever This wont look good at 3500 and even your 4790K OCd will probbaly only do faster preset at the very lowest.

the problem is not the stream. the problem is the capturecard. which dont run smooth, it has every few seconds micro stuttering. i have no problems with other games on my pc with no capturecard. and i stream on my streaming PC normaly in 720p60fps and preset on veryfast, so this cant be the problem. my cpu usage is around 50 % if i stream and the webcam and all other stuff works fine just the capturecard, which i test stuttering every few seconds, doesnt matter if i stream on PC or console. I have the right resolution and FPS set on both. Capturecard and consoles are on 1080p60fps set. and stream runs at 720p60fps normaly. my webcam is fine the complete time but the captureinput in obs and stream stuttering like i say still.
I tried still 2 different capture devices. the avermedia extreme and the elgato hd60 pro. no changes. sometimes the stream runs a bit smoother if i reconnect the hdmi from any capturecard but even this dont works fine and there are still stutterings, which i dont see in other streams which using capturecards. i get next week new hardware and will using than for my streaming PC the cpu and ram and motherboard form my gaming PC. probably that will change anything. but i dont think so. because a lot of other people has stuttering in the forums and dont know how to fix it.

Please provide a logfile with your 2 PC setup at a reasonable res/fps ilke 720@60 veryfast and use the capture card.

here coming both logfiles first is from gaming PC with the Avermedia extreme WiiU

https://gist.github.com/9f599a929468e1f40d4f

and the video you have to be eyes like a gamer to see the different between 60fps and the lower, but it happends very often. but my webcam works every fine so its not any problem that my PC cant handle this stream:

Second is the logfile from the streaming PC elgato hd60 pro both has in the video micro stutters, but the webcam and other stuff works fine will send my 2 vids also here ;)

https://gist.github.com/1715916291d3ab8ad03a

and video everyone could see this big stutters. if this is 60fps i should be blind. if i reconnect my hdmi to my gaming PC the stutterings get often fixed. but you could still see them, from time to time. so they arent complete away.

I see on your first setup, log seems good, but I am unable to watch your vids til I get home. no prob for now. on your gaming PC with the WiiU, can you remove the webcam from the scene and tell me if it improves? Also, please check chipset drivers from your motherboard's website. these are 99% of the time, the best to use. Second, lets try to reduce your webcam res to 720p and let me know how that looks.

As for the stream PC with the Elgato, dont force a custom resolution in OBS video capture device properties. just set the resolution and fps in the elgato software, close the elgato software then restart OBS. the same story for the chipset drivers, I would also restart and replug youryour elgato after this is complete.

i will try both things. But the capturecard settings should be still in the right standard resolution, and no custom at least. I will check it next time im on, but have to go to bed for today :/ late and have to work tomorrow, and tomorrow i will do a long stream, so at least i would probably send the new logs on sunday afternoon or evening. But i still think its a problem with the capturecards just, what exactly i dont know. At least i will reinstall both PC after my upgrade end of next week, probably this will also change anything. But lets wait till sunday, thx for answering, i wish a good night and nice evening o/
