Question / Help Micro FPS drop, need help with configurating OBS!

I have linked my OBS setting that i am using at the moment, but i tend to drop frames every 3-5 second or so and that make it hard to play overwatch.


This is my computer:

i7-4790K 4GHz

GTX970 4Gb

12Gb RAM

Windows 10 64bit

I am currently using low to medium settings on Overwatch.

That isn't any better. Cut and Paste all the text in the OBS log file, including the parts that you have to scroll down to see.

Its incomplete and the important parts are missing. So generate a new log. Encode for at least five minutes of high action content, then quit the encode, then quit out of OBS so that the file is saved to disk completely, and then post that log.

Yup that's better. You're playing Overwatch on x264's Faster preset but duplicated frames are still low, so that's good. Change the Scene Buffering Time in OBS to 700 instead of 400. Otherwise OBS settings look fine. Check that Overwatch's FPS is capped instead of letting it go unlimited, then see if its improved.

Where are you experiencing the "drop frames every 3-5 second or so"? In Overwatch, not in the stream? You might lower OBS's process priority if the above two things don't help.

I am only experiencing the fps drop when i go into a public game, everything works fine in practice mode and against A.I.

It got alot better, but i am going to try to stream a bit longer tomorow and wsee if it is working properly!
