Question / Help Micomsoft sc-512n1-l/dvi audio issue

So I have the video working fine, but the audio is a different story. I had to go into the properties of the video card and at the bottom select "Use custom audio device", then I set the Audio Device to "SA7160 PCI, Analog 01 WaveIn". At this point I thought I was done as the green bar showing audio in the audio mixer was moving on the device..... but when I do test recordings there is no audio. The only way I have gotten it to give me audio is to change the setting in the video card's properties of Audio Output Mode from "Capture audio only" to "Output desktop audio", or, turn on monitoring in the mixer settings. I really don't want the sound coming through my speakers or headset (and yes theoretically I could just change the desktop audio device that it is playing through to something different, but I find it odd that I can use the OBS Classic version and not have it come through my speakers AND be able to record it with audio.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I hate to say it, but you're using the FTL version which we do not support at all. You'll have to contact them. Sorry.

That said I did look over your log and I saw that you tried a bunch of different things. Did you try setting the Device "Use Custom Audio device" option to none, and in the sources area add an audio input source, set that to the Mircom?

I tried it in both the regular version of Studio and the FTL version. Same result for both. I went to try your suggestion with the Audio Input Source but the source doesn't show up there (checked in Audio Output Source as well just in case). I don't get why it shows the green audio bar but won't record it unless I direct it to the desktop audio. Very strange. In OBS Classic it had the feature of "Output audio to stream only", but I guess Studio got rid of that somehow.

It just now started magically working. We good.

EDIT: I found out I had to disable other audio devices that weren't being detected (like mics that aren't plugged in right now).
