Question / Help Mic volume low while using OBS

I have a blue snowball usb mic & when I use OBS for live streaming my mic volume is too low & I am forced to use the mic boost setting which I set to 10. Now because I have it set that high my mic picks up everything which results in that hissing sound (white noise) & my breathing. My mic settings on the PC side are maxed & it is connected to a usb hub (not sure if this has anything to do with it). Can anyone help me with this problem?
