Mic too hot

OBS is showing my mic wayyyy too hot and it keeps smashing through to red when I have my Rodecaster pro at very low levels. I have used this setup for a while and every now and again the mic gets too hot and I restart my computer and everything is "fixed," but not this time. I have no idea why.

I know I can reduce the gain in obs too but I'm trying to find the issue why this is happening.
