I've never posted here on the forums before, and have never even looked at the log files in OBS before now, but the pastebin for the current log file is here: http://pastebin.com/BS07EcAH

Screenshots of relevant application settings:

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to check next? As I said, it works everywhere else (XSplit, etc), but what I'm trying to record is not a full-screen game, so tools like XSplit aren't what I need, and OBS is perfect. I've used OBS in the past and it worked fine, but I'm not sure what's changed.

check three things to check:
1, hotkey tab of OBS. make sure you didn't have a push to talk key set
2. volume on the main page of OBS make sure the mic volume is up
3. microphone noise gate, make sure this isn't enabled or at least set to where you can actually talk.

That was it ;-) I don't know much about the noise gate, but it was set really high for some reason. Thanks!
