Question / Help Mic sound spikes when obs starts streaming

Hello I recently purchased a blue yeti and I have been watching a video on how to remove the background noise, the software I am using is Reaper and VB Virtual Audio Cable. It has been working well so far but I have noticed when ever I start streaming, start recording, or preview the stream, the mic begins to spike.
