Question / Help Mic no longer working

Hey guys, i've seen alot of issues going around about this mic issue, mine has completely stopped working and doesn't show in the bar area where it shows input if a mic picks up audio, instead it's somehow managed to switch to the Speaker bar shown in pic 1, the ingame audio shows through the same bar as normal, I have no idea what has happened, even my mic is not getting picked up by the preview area of the noise gate... Tried reinstalling, even to a different location, it is now situated on my main SSD drive.

Any help would be cool.

By the way, QPC time stamps is not on.

Try uninstalling the Mic DSP plugin and see if that helps. You probably messed up a setting with that somehow.

Also, don't use MP3 audio.

Thanks for the speedy reply I haven't altered any major settings, I randomly opened up OBS in hopes of finishing some recording on a series i'm working on and noticed the preview bars were not picking up any signal which was obviously weird. Changed MP3 to AAC as it's the only option available. Not familiar with the format so never used it.

I also did have to manually download the mic DSP plugin since it wasn't there. I'm wondering if my CCleaner had something to do with deleting the DLL file thinking it was bad...

Yes...

And now it's fixed... I don't understand, it wasnt working when I placed the OBC mic dsp plugin in manually, I remove it, now it works?
