Question / Help Mic Muted Notification? Exists?

I just spent the last 20 minutes of a stream with a muted mic and had no idea it was muted.

Does anyone know of a notification program to tell you that the mic is muted?

Plays music on a loop when the mic is muted? Plays a sound? Puts something on the screen? Anything. I can't find anything with searches.

If you use 2 monitors and move OBS to the second Monitor, you can always watch the mic meter to see a signal or no signal when you speak. Many voip apps, for example discord or Teamspeak, also have a tray bar icon that changes color while you speak. Teamspeak has a feature that produces a beep if you speak while the mic is muted.
I don't know of some generic standalone addon that is independent from all of these apps.

I don't have a second monitor though. And, the mic itself has a light on it that changes colour based on if it's muted or not.
But, it wasn't enough, I didn't pick up on it.
I need something else, something that plays music perhaps.
Hopefully, someone knows of a way to do this, if there isn't such a program.

You kind of misunderstood my post. In case you use some of the voip apps I mentioned, you were able to see mic activity. In case you don't use them, you have to resort to some other means. Just installing these apps will not help, since they signal only if they are actively being used in voip chat.
There's still the option to look at the meter if you run OBS on a second monitor.

I can't really afford a second monitor atm. And it seems like a really steep price to fix something so small, you know?
