Question / Help mic issues

Hey guys I have about %95 of my issues worked out but I am having a tech problem with my mic. It's a brand new blue yeti and although it records just fine, it randomly stops working mid stream. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it. I'm using obs 64bit, I may have to tweak some other settings but this one I'd like to work out as soon as possible. Yeah, I've messed around with various settings in obs, not sure if I should be using a third party program like adobe audition to clean up any background noise but this current problem is rather annoying
