Question / Help Mic Delay?

I have been noticing that my mic is just off by a bit recently. I also noticed with the current version of OBS the Force mic to sync option is gone ( not sure when it was taken out) What do i need to change to get my microphone synced back up with my game?

How off is "just off"? Is it off compared a game, or compared to a webcam? Is it ahead or behind the thing it is "off" from? What kinds of capture sources are you using?

I am using window Capture using my HD PVR software.
Compared to whats happening in game my voice seems to be just ahead of whats going on

Any capture device will impose a delay as the video is grabbed and converted. You may need to add a mic delay of a few seconds or more to sync things back up. The 'force mic to sync' option would have no bearing on this, as it's almost definitely your capture device sending video slow, especially if your mic is ahead (eg: the mic is being processed quickly, while the video cap device lags behind by a significant amount).

OBS had an option before along the lines of Force mic to sync which solved this issue instantly. Am I missing something about that?

In this case it's not as simple as saying "sync the things". The HD PVR itself is seeing the game late because it has to encode and compress the video down to send it over USB 2.0. The best way to fix it would be to add a delay to your Mic in your Audio settings that matches the HD PVR delay.

Do you know how I set up a mic delay there seems to be several options.
