Question / Help mic cuts out when in game sound gets loud

i want to record in game sound and my mic but when in game sounds get loud like an explosion my mic stops recording my voice and then when the in game sound quiets down my mic comes back. can some one please tell me how to fix. i use the built in mic on my laptop.

its probably an anti feedback feature in your mic I can only assume. not sure how to remedy this though but hope that helps.

i got the same issue.
i used the Astro A40 mic first but switched to the t.bone sc400 now. got better but still happens.

im not sure if thats an OBS issue tho tbh.

i have a built in mic. the only thing i can think of is my system is not powerful enough and it is using all the cpu power to render video and not audio
