Mic cuts out and then proceeds to freeze when changing mic

To further explain my problem, during times when I hop onto Discord or when my mic is being used on some other application, my mic will cut out randomly. When I try to change mics back to default and forth to my USB Mic (Elgato Wave: 3), OBS freezes. At that point, I have to use Task Manager to kill OBS and then start my stream again. Some key notes that may help. I set my OBS to run with Administrator privileges. This is to make sure my codec is working properly. I am also running Windows 11 Beta on my system, although personally, I do not think this is such an issue. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
