I decided the other day to pic up video recording/streaming again and during initial setups and testing i found that my mic crackels. It dosnt matter if it is open mic or puch to talk. To better describe: I unplugged my webcame and uninstalled the software for good measure. I began recording video with my mic open and the mic was picking up sound, while my recording device slider was picking up nothing. I speak into the mic and both sliders activate showing they are picking up sound. I then proceed to close my mic boom. My recording device slider is unwavered, not picking up a lick of noise where as the OBS mic slider during my recording is still picking up "static/crackling" despite the mic boom being closed. In simple terms, it is literally impossible to "mute" my mic without turning the mic volume all the way down in OBS.
Some help would be greatly appreciated. I have been using OBS for years and have never had an issue. I would like to continue being a loyal consumer of this great software.
other troubleshoots i tried: literally every audio setting in just about every combination.
I tried changing the scene rate i read somewhere (somthing about low rate equates to audio static)
I would like to note that this crackling/static is not related to anything other than my mic. My games and other media sound perfectly fine, actually.. amazing... im rather impressed..
