Bug Report Memory leaks

This has been occuring since ~late April. I seem to be getting a lot of memory leaks and I can't determine why. I've tried fiddling with stuff on my side. I have windows fully updated, my StreamFX plugin is fully updated, I've disabled browser hardware acceleration to see if that makes a difference, and I have tried consolidating my scenes. Without even streaming today (I left my OBS open and used my game capture and elgato capture) I noted about 12 memory leaks.

Any idea what I could do to fix this? Or directions for things to look into?

For now, I've tried adding a threads=10 command to the output line because I heard having too many cores/threads can cause problems. My cpu has 12 cores/24 threads so I thought "why not try limiting the threads?" and I received these results:

Interestingly enough, the log I uploaded right after I ended the stream doesn't show memory leaks, but the log I look at after closing out OBS shows memory leaks. I'm not sure what that might mean.

I'm also wondering if there is a problem with me having my elgato capture software and game capture on the same scene as different sources? I heard there were problems with having a game capture and display capture source on the same scene, so I'm not sure if that would apply here as well.

Memory leaks are notifications for OBS / plugin developers that they are leaking references, don't worry about them as a user.

Ah okay, that's good to know. Last time I posted this in April I was told that the memory leaks were something I needed to fix. I thought it had something to do with my ram usage slowly increasing over time as well, but I think that might be related to my browser sources for alerts.

Thanks for the response!

12 memory leaks here too with the StreamFX plugin. Since I only really use the ffmpeg encoder, I gave Xaymar's older ffmpeg encoder v0.4.0 a try with OBS 25.0.8 & it still works great with no memory leaks.

I've been wondering if it might have something to do with the plugin. I really only use the blur filter, but I can't say I've found a suitable alternative yet. Thanks for the heads up! It's nice (in a morbid sort of way lol) to see that I'm not the only one suffering this issue.

Yep, I had to reply when I looked at your first 2 logs & saw you had 12 leaks too.

If you haven't tried the plugin encoder yet, give it a shot. The quality is excellent & will probably look better than x264 medium once you get it dialed in.
