Question / Help Media Source won't play audio despite monitoring on.

My media sources on OBS won't play audio at all, even when the monitoring setting in the Advanced Audio Settings is turned on. I can see the audio signal playing in the "Media Source" section, but it won't play through my desktop audio and I have no idea how to fix it.

This happened randomly when I launched OBS and I've changed no settings myself.

Your media sources are playing if the mixer shows the volume bar moving.

Your media sources will not be captured in recordings or streams if you don't set the Audio Monitoring drop down correctly.

Monitor means to listen to selected audio devices on your headset. You monitor via the device you setup in Advanced | Audio Audio Monitoring Device (usually your headset).
When you monitor, it is best to turn off all audio devices that have a speaker or even another mic on it to avoid duplicate audio resulting in echo
- Mute mics attached to devices (like the webcam)
- Mute speakers

For the Audio Monitoring settings:
- Monitor and Output - You hear it on your audio monitoring device and it gets recorded/streamed.
- Monitor Off - You don't hear it on your audio monitoring device. It does however get recorded/streamed.
- Monitor Only (muted output) - You hear it on your audio monitoring device but it doesn't get recorded/streamed.

If you are having problems, disable all audio devices and mic/aux in the Audio Category.
Then setup individual sources per each device (Audio Input Capture, Audio Output Capture).

Please see below screenshots of my audio monitoring set to "Monitor Only" and still no audio coming from the desktop.

I've tried disabling and re-enabling all audio devices in the settings and still no luck.
