Media source video loop glitches out

Hi. I'm a newb so I'm not sure if this is even in the right forum...

Anyway I have this minor issue with OBS. I use a video animation loop as a backdrop for a scene. Everytime the loop starts again there's an about 1 second gap before it starts from the beginning. Not a huge issue but it is really annoying and kind of makes the loop useless. Now I thought it could be a RAM related issue so I tested the loop by making it very short and small. Now it's about 5 seconds and only a couple of MBs file size so it can't be that.

Could anyone offer me some advice? Thanks. :)

The 1-second gap in your video loop might be caused by buffering or playback settings. Try pre-buffering the video, editing for a seamless loop, or adjusting settings in your software to avoid lag. Switching formats or codecs and checking for better looping options could also help eliminate the gap.

I just realized this issue with OBS on Windows with a looping .mp3 audio that I've already edited with Audacity to be seamless in a loop. OBS inserts a noticeable dead half-second in the loop.

I'll see if any of casper1's ideas work on this.

Switching formats alone helped here. I converted the .mp3 to a .wav and that removed the gap. I wonder if this is a bug with how OBS handles .mp3 audio.
