Hello! I am a longtime OBS user, but just recently made an account on here. I've seen a few similar posts from a few years ago about this problem, but I can't seem to fix it this time around. Here are the details:
I have a student who likes to use OBS to make YouTube videos. Every time her computer/Windows updates, it seems to 'blow out' the media source audio and we are unable to hear it. I can see the meter moving in OBS as if it is being played, and the Advanced Audio Properties also are confirmed to be on 'Monitor and Output'. All of the normal audio settings have been checked and are correct. In the past, I have been able to just add the same audio file as a new Media Source and it'll work. Today, this workaround failed. Does anyone have any idea on what might be causing this? My own OBS Studio works absolutely fine when I try adding a media source to a scene... I am unable to reproduce her problem using my own application. Her OBS is the latest update as well. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
PS- I did try what was suggested in this thread and no dice: https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...e-in-my-headphones-while-broadcasting.133213/
