Media source hardware decoding and virtual camera freezes usb hub devices randomly

As the title states, I have usb devices lockups intermittently if I have OBS open looping a media source with hardware decoding enabled, or if a program is accessing the virtual camera(either inactive or active). They freeze on my Roccat Sova hub, a 4 port anker hub, and an active usb 3.0 cable. I'm not entirely sure if this is an OBS issue because I've had this happen before, but it's been quite a long time since it has, and I'm able to replicate this issue with OBS. (It's fine with streamlabs obs)

Edit: it seems to have been fixed by a bios update. My motherboard was very far behind and armoury crate and ez update had been lying that my bios was up to date. One of the updates missed specifically addressed usb connectivity. So far everything seems good. Here's hoping it's completely fixed.
