Means to Record Only Primary Screen

Hi All,

This isn't about an error but looking for enhancement to recording a live screen event. Whether it's Facebook Live or YouTube or other streaming sites, I'm looking for a way to record only the underlying, primary screen. In other words, my recordings have all these pop-ups like chat boxes and emojis etc. that are overlays on the primary screen. Is there a setting, tool or scrip that would allow OBS Studio to only record the underlying screen and not the popups?

There is a plugin on this site called Source Record. It does exactly what you want.
