Question / Help Maya 2013 Viewports show as white boxes.

Basically, I'm trying to capture the entirety of Maya 2013, and it does get almost all of it, except the viewport, which is basically the most important part. I've been using the window capture mode and as for game capture...it just doesn't work for some reason. The JPG below should should what the issue is with window capture mode. I'm gonna try running it in monitor mode and see if that works, but I'd rather not use that since it supposedly doesn't work well on Windows 7. So any advice or help to get windowed mode working would be nice.

The viewport most likely uses OpenGL to bypass the desktop window manager, and thus technically isn't part of the window itself at all. Unless there are different render settings for the viewport, you might be able to use Game Capture to grab the viewport, but then you would have to position it yourself.

Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done when OpenGL bypasses Windows like that, aside from using monitor capture. That's why I was wondering if the settings for the viewport could be changed, for instance to make it use Direct3D instead of OpenGL.

If maya has a selection to use D3D instead like 3dsmax does I would recommend using that over opengl. I haven't actually used maya in years though so I have no idea if it does or not. I never really spent too much time with maya, just 3dsmax.
