I'm sorry, but since I haven't registered as an Apple developer, I suppose that's why I'm encountering security issues.

Troubleshooting on macOS: "Plugin cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"

When you install MasterLevelMeter.plugin on macOS, you may see a warning such as:

“MasterLevelMeter.plugin” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This happens because the plugin is not signed with the Apple Developer Program.
It is safe to use if you trust the source. Follow these steps to allow the plugin:

1.Install the plugin

2.Launch OBS
*The plugin will be blocked by macOS and you will see a warning dialog.
Close the dialog with OK.

3.Allow the plugin in System Settings
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Scroll down until you see a message like:
“MasterLevelMeter.plugin was blocked because it is not from an identified developer.”

Click Allow Anyway.

4.Restart OBS
The next time you launch OBS, you will be asked if you really want to open the plugin.
Click Open. From now on, the plugin will load automatically.

Thank You it worked! It's funny I figured it was something like that and I went to system preferences like I've done for other software, but it didn't show up until you told me to go a little further.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I will modify the various texts and ReadMe to address similar issues.

I have one more issue to fix. I appreciate your help with it and creating this plugin. The similar things happened with Exeldro's Draw and he fixed it for 0BS 31.1.2. Whenever I open OBS MLM opens up in full screen. Also, when I go to tools the only option is to show it, I am not able to hide or close the window. I literally have to close out of it via the window button on the top left. I am on an intel Mac OS Ventura OBS 31.1.2. It also happens on 32 beta 2.

I currently have a version compatible with the Dock. However, this version only supports ARM Macs at this time. I plan to release versions built for Intel Macs and Windows x64 within this week.

I added Dock compatible and stopped using the floating window.
Please test this version.

The function works well on the Windows version. However, I believe it would be even more beneficial if one could add multiple docks for different tracks to immediately see what is coming on each track. This would be particularly advantageous for larger productions.

ShmKnd updated Master Level Meter with a new update entry:

Release v1.0.2

v1.0.2 Updates
  • Modification to LUFS calculation logic. Issue #1
Previously, stereo LR channels were calculated separately. ITU-R BS.1770-3 specifies that after processing each channel, the sum operation should be performed.
This improves the situation where values displayed per channel were smaller than the sound pressure calculated by summing the channels.
  • This binary will also be a universal binary supporting...
