i have 75mbps down and 15mbps up. i feel i should be able to stream 1080p no problem but i cant even get this thing to stream 720p without dropping ~20-50% of the frames.

i have buffer and bitrate set to 3000/1000, and then changed it to 3500/3500 i guess that could be a little low? aero disabled since im doing screen capture.

below is my log:

Your Pc is indeed strong enough to be able to handle streaming without problems . A few things in your settings aren't optimal though.

Use "game Capture" as a source and use the "very fast" preset. A "medium" preset is not recommended for a single pc setup. Also try streaming without your webcam (use ONLY game capture alone) first and if its stable try to add it and see if it's ok . 3000bitrate for both max and buffer should be more than enough to stream league at 720p @ 30fps.

You should get more ram imo , you have a beastly cpu and gpu and you save money on the cheapest parts like ram?

i have 16gb of ram.

the problem with game source is that LoL has 2 clients, and the screen is black while in the lobby and searched etc. i watch a lot of streams from people using OBS and they use screen capture bc i can see their entire desktop, with a way inferior computer than mine AND theyre streaming in 1080p which i cant do :(

i will adjust the settings to veryfast though since i have yet to do that.

whats going on when the log is showing that my socket buffer is full? im assuming thats when im getting the huge amount of frame drops?

my bad i have just noticed that you are using the 32bit client which only shows up to 4gb of ram. Well , you can just switch scenes between games to show your desktop. Using very fast should do the trick for the most part!

Chu8 for example also has 2 scenes , 1 for game capture and 1 for the his desktop and he is switching between the scenes (most streamers do it like that). There is also an auto scene switcher plugin out there if i am not mistaken.

But i don't know since i am using a capture card which pulls the information directly from my gpu , so i don't have to do anything because you always see whats on my monitor!

Try changing twitch servers or lowering your bitrate until the frame drops stop.

i do have a capture card, the avermedia c985 live gamer hd, is OBS compatible with this card do you know?

Yes it works flawlessly , i am using the same card and i have no problems whatsoever! I use it as a capture source! Just right click on sources and add it as "Video Capture Device". I cloned my main monitor and would recommend the same to you since connecting the monitor to the capture card gives you a weird feeling. So just connect both your capture card and your monitor to your GPU and then clone your main monitor in your gpu drivers.

I work until 7pm EST do you mind if I PM you around then if I have any questions? or email you if that's better? I'd love to get this thing working!

mainly just the settings I'd need to get it working for 720p or even better 1080p, disabling of aero or not if using the capture card, etc.

I have 3 monitors, the main middle one is the one connected to the avermedia card via hdmi while the other 2 monitors are connected directly to the gpu via dvi cables.

Yea just send me a pm if you have any questions , i am also using 3 monitors. 2 60hz monitors and 1 144hz monitor, i am not routing through the capture card though since this feels really bad. I have the capture card and the monitors separately connected to my graphics card. Just clone the capture card with your primary monitor(in your graphics card driver), it works perfectly fine (i don't even notice that i am streaming when i use my capture card as a source, it is really good)!
