Ive been streaming to Twitch.tv for over a year now, and after a month of tinkering with getting the correct OBS settings to stream, I finally got everything lined out to where I had, at most, .9% dropped frames as of last Tuesday.
I updated to the newest OBS this weekend and now, 20 seconds into the stream I have massive amounts of dropped frames. Ive checked my settings, and all the settings that I had set before when I wasnt dropping frames were still there. Ive switched servers, dropped my bitrate down, ran numerous speedtests, updated all drivers that needed to be updated, tried to stream to youtube and other services and I just cant figure out what is going on.
It wasnt that bad when I first started, and now its just driving me nuts. Someone told me that the Twitch ingest servers were screwed up, but I cant find any hard evidence to prove this. Plus, I get massive frame drops when streaming to Youtube as well. It sounds like a connection issue, but I cant tell why its happening. If I dont stream, any online multiplayer games play fine with no ingame lag and everything is fine on that front. Ive tried all the steps in the pinned post about dropped frames but I just cant figure this out.
My room mate has the identical issue. He had no dropped frames and now, they are massive. He did just upgrade to Win 10 from Win 8.1 Pro on Friday, but I checked all his settings and updated his drivers and everything is the same. Im new to this forum so Im not sure what you guys would need to help me diagnose this issue. I looked at a log from a stream attempt, but I have no idea what Im looking at. There are some errors on the log but I have no idea how to fix them.
Can someone please help me out?? Im about to lose my mind.
